My previous post showed the first part of our students’ involvement and coverage of the Etsy Made Local event in Glasgow in December this year where they provided a pop-up photo booth and press coverage of the launch event.
The second part of the coverage of the event involved the weekend of 3rd/4th December where some of our students photographed the Etsy Made Local fair at the Briggait in Glasgow. The fair featured over 60 makers across the 2 days.
This location couldn’t have been more different from the last… With a glass ceiling, the former Glasgow fish market is literally flooded with light making the photography significantly easier than the previous dark venue. The challenge this time – temperature! The Briggait has a concrete floor from is previous market use and being December it was far from cosy. Keeping fingers warm enough to work the camera was the photographers’ focus this weekend.
Have a look at some of the photographs from the event where you will see an array of colour, stalls, vendors and customers. If you want to find out more about the Glasgow Etsy team visit their website, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter pages.
