We had two destinations for this outing, the first being the Riverside museum in the morning and then Kelvingrove art Gallery in the afternoon.
The purpose of the visits was to practice taking images on location for the Media course. these included Interior Architecture and Landscapes. The opportunity was also there for location portraits using window light.
A selection of images show the diversity of their outlook:
As you can see everyone had a different viewpoint and enjoyed the day.
Our next outing is again to Glasgow City Chambers where we hope to gain more experience in different light conditions.
Taking the photography out of the studio is something the students enjoy and they face up to the challenge really well.
Tips for taking photographs in public locations would be to contact the venue in advance as this saves embarrassment if you just turn up. Again, like all photo-shoots, forward planning is the key to success.
